Title: Building our Talent Engine – Gamified way to build ethical, responsible and intelligent products

Session Abstract:

In our excessive zeal and FOMO (Fear of missing out) syndrome, many organizations automate and deploy AI based solutions on their critical business flows without considering the impact / risks of such deployments. One such use case is that of the Talent Acquisition workflow. While the usage of AI in automating our manual business flow does streamline and makes the Talent acquisition process efficient, it also carries some hidden risks related to Ethics like biases, transparency failures, auditory non compliances and regulatory risks resulting in impact to organizations reputation, brand and trust as a whole. This is nothing but an Ethical Debt which the organization may incur in their zeal to over. The purpose of the session is to highlight why one should balance the zeal for AI implementation along-with the baggage of risks and compliances it comes with. While we have taken the talent acquisition workflow as a use case for this conference, this can be applied to any business domain / scenario.

In this proposed session, we invite participants to work in an AI Product Squads tasked with building a five-stage hiring pipeline. Using a gamification approach AI enabled features for the product like “Lookalike AI” and “Sentiment Analysis” and balance them against the safety net of manual features like “Blind Reviews” and “Explainability Audits.”

The session simulates “Market Crisis” where a spinning wheel of crises (based on the famous Sony TV Game show format ‘Wheel of Fortune”) determines the regulatory fate of their product features and reveals the impact of ignoring ethical AI practices in product development. Overall, this gamification session is a great opportunity for the conference participants to learn how to build responsible products by leveraging the power of AI.
